Matt Beekman

Dr. Beekman is a dedicated professor at Cal Poly, specializing in environmental engineering and sustainable infrastructure. With a passion for integrating technology into education, he engages students in innovative research projects that address pressing environmental challenges. His expertise includes structure-composition-property relationships in bulk and thin film materials, thermoelectric materials and devices, and nanoscale science and technology. Additionally, he explores novel synthetic routes in solid-state chemistry, focusing on non-equilibrium synthesis and the preparation of metastable materials.
