My research background spans institutions like UCSF, Stanford, and UCSD, where I studied prions, Down syndrome, and Alzheimer's disease. My love for science, combined with a desire to spread knowledge, inspired me to teach and contribute to the circle of training that starts in high school and continues through every stage of becoming a scientist
The Constellations program offers a unique opportunity for teachers to collaborate with research scientists, keeping them informed about the latest advancements in the field. Participants can learn how scientists tackle real-world problems through this hands-on experience.
This program has deepened my understanding of research methods and techniques, allowing me to connect with the daily work that drives scientific progress.
Fun fact: I learned to scuba dive when I was 13. I love scuba diving with sharks. If you see me, ask me about it.
