Balboa High School
I began my teaching career in 2017 through the credential program at SFSU as a Trellis Scholar. I began working at Balboa High school the following year as a 9th grade Physics teacher where I have been ever since. I also received my master’s in Secondary Education at SFSU where I focused on project based learning and values affirmations.
In this program, I have been able to get hands on experience in research and engineering. I have been able to collect and play with data and experience productive struggle and failure like a researcher would.
Working alongside scientists while participating in science gives perspective on the day to day decisions that scientists have to make, and an insight into the experience of productive mistakes and struggle in the field.
Fun fact: I love to dance! My background is in ballet, but I like to explore new dance styles.
