Ms. Stauch is a Lecturer in the Liberal Studies department, Coordinator of the Secondary Credential Program, and Science Education Advisor at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California. She teaches courses in the Bailey College of Science Mathematics that support science education and earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Cal Poly in 2008. Her research interests include co-teaching during clinical experiences, the impact of Next Generation Science Standards on future science teachers, and the experiences of pre-service teachers in national research labs, with her recent work published in Teacher Education Quarterly and The Handbook of Research on Teacher Education and Professional Development. Nancy also servces as a Workshop Leader with the STEM Teacher and Researcher (STAR) Program where she mentors STAR participants over their summer of research, and guides them through a series of workshops aimmed to translate their experience in the lab to classroom practice.

After being In the classroom for 18 years I moved to Cal Poly where I now train teachers! My students are the best! I work with preservice elementary teachers and mentor/teach future secondary science teachers!
Our STAR coordinator, Stamatis Vokos got me Involved with an incredible project In Egypt! We are working with 5 universities In the Cairo area to help train future STEM high school teachers!
